When Elliot writes about his experience with the Jock Rots and sends it out over the KidNet, he includes the following quote in his letter.

"I think people ought to realize that stuff like this goes on every day…The rest of you are all part of it-because you let it go on and maybe you think it's funny, or you think it only happens to geeky outsiders and kids who are smaller or fatter or skinnier or don't have so many friends or so much money as you. So tell me-what happens when you don't have so many friends one day, or you don't have so much money, or something bad happens to you?" (91-92)

Blog Question:
What is the message is he trying to get across to his classmates? (6pts)

Blog Answer:
On page 92 Elliot is writing down a message, after he explains his incident with the jock rots, that describes how his fellow students are the purpose of bullying in Parkland School. He writes that they play a part in bullying by not standing up for the victims of bullies, instead they just stand there and laugh while the skinny, fat, nerdy, and uncool p
eople get bullied over and over again. I think Elliot's message is that the kids should stand up for the victims and stop the bullies from bullying, instead of being a by standard and letting the victims get hurt. For example on page 58 and 59, the jock rots were holding Elliot over a river, on a bridge. They let go and he fell, coming back with a very badly sprained ankle and a minor concussion. This is how victims can get hurt if the by standards don't fight back!

hey Claudia!!
I really liked your post!! It was amazing. I also liked how you included the example on pg.58-59, and said what difference it would have made if by standers stood up against bullies. Keep up the good work! :D

Hey Claudia,
I like how you included what happened on p58-59 to support how bad bullies can get. I also like how you talked about when Elliot wrote that students just ignored the bullying around them or joined in. Maybe you could add about how the letter was also to scare the Jock rots.
Good work!!!!!!!!:):)
